I've been neglecting LJ a lot lately, and that's because everyone seems to have migrated to Facebook, which honestly has a lot of benefits over LJ (as far as I'm concerned)

Anyway, I've released 3 new songs on the FuMP Sideshow in the last month, here they are.

So I posted a bit ago that I discovered how to use bus tracks in Acid Music Studio 7.0.

Guess what? It's not supposed to be there.

The bus tracks work just fine, but if I save a project after adding any, then I can't open them, Acid gives me an ambiguous error message.

I created a new project and did nothing but add a bus track, save, and re-open, and I got a message saying "some of the features used in this project are unsupported by this version of Acid. Bus tracks are used, Acid Music Studio will route all bus tracks to the master bus. Blah blah upgrade to Acid Pro in order to use all the features."

Fortunately I only broke one song I'd been working on before figuring out it was breaking stuff.

For my more punk-influenced tracks, I tend to be way less perfectionist about the vocals. I've heard a lot of independently-produced punk songs with really crappy production values, and so my brain is all "well it's okay if it sounds crappy." Not sure if that's a or bad thing.

I just found out Acid Music Studio has bus tracks. I thought they were only in Acid Pro.

I have been rendering things into single wav's to process them together whenever I wanted what I could've done with bus tracks. This has made editing the individual synths/vocals difficult once I've rendered them together, and has resulted in a lot of things not sounding how I want.

When you click the "insert" menu, you see "insert soft synth" and I'm pretty sure with Acid Pro (I used it for a month for a free trial) that "insert bus track" was right next to that one. You have to right-click on a synth in the bottom-right to get the insert bus track option. Right next to the "insert soft synth." ARGH.

Somehow, our wedding party this Saturday is turning into a Rock Band party.

We have 2 Wiis and an XBox 360, and I hear someone might be bringing another 360. We only have 3 TVs though; and only one is a decent size. Anyway, here's what Guitar Hero/Rock Band stuff we have:

For Wii, we have Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero: Metallica. Controllers we have are one guitar (only compatible with Guitar Hero games), one Wii Rock Band drum set (Rock Band only) and one Wii Guitar Hero drum set.

For XBox 360, we have World Tour and two guitar controllers.

We have one USB mic and one XBox 360 headset.

If my younger brother makes it, he'll hopefully be bringing (for the Wii) a cross-compatible guitar controller, another USB mic, and for games, Guitar Hero 3, World Tour, and additional copies of Rock Band 2 and Metallica (Metallica and probably World Tour have online "Band Vs Band" mode that would be fun to play if we were to have 4 guitars, 2 mics and 2 drum sets for Wii)

Mr Tuesday and Madman are apparently both bringing Xbox 360 drum sets.


Bring whatever controllers and games you have that we don't have (or don't have as many as could be used), and we'll make some fun happen.

Where can I find quality 2d pixel artists for less?
